Today, I voted tactically for our borough council elections (to help keep the total idiots out of the ward, who I voted for have actually done a decent job). I voted based on principle for parish council elections (no total idiots running in the ward).
We need preferential voting, man.
What if the other guy said,
I actually wonder how good he is at understanding Farsi, because there are things that he said that, frankly, didn’t make sense in the context of the negotiations.
I hope he insults him in such a posh way he doesn't even realise.

I remember hearing about preferential voting and how it worked when I lived in Australia in the 90s. I couldn't articulate why I thought it was a good idea then, but I think it was because you really should think about your preferences, rather than just sticking a cross in a box.
(At that point, I had never voted in any sort of election, as my home address was always located in a safe seat that went unopposed.)
