This weekend I…

  • had dinner at Tutto Bene (and met Georgie and Gary there)
  • spent far too long at The Londoner
  • was driven around by a local Xiamenese, trying to find a club that was still open and jumping after 5am
  • got home at 6am, after the local Xiamenese gave up trying to find a club that was still open and jumping
  • slept in
  • watched Star Trek: Enterprise
  • had dinner with Ben, Joel, Wayne, and Robby at Bellagio
  • stayed far too long at The House (ostensibly to watch the rugby, but the match ended at midnight and we remained there long after)
  • had supper / breakfast (what do you call it at 5am) at a roadside barbecue
  • slept in
  • watched Star Trek: Enterprise
  • had a late, late dinner at the barbecue
  • watched Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo

As you can well imagine, the internal clock is now a little out of whack.

Oh, and by the way, this weekend I…

  • ate chicken rice and oyster omelette at the Singapore restaurant
  • had hot chocolate at Javaromas
  • had a number of drinks at The Londoner
  • moved on to La Bomba
  • detoured to eat duck porridge on the way home
  • (as a result) slept in all day
  • had dinner at the Indian restaurant
  • watched some Star Trek: Enterprise season one (did I mention I have a real thing for Scott Bakula — I thought he was the coolest in Quantum Leap)
  • had lunch at a porridge and noodle restaurant (I like the cheapie places better)
  • finished watching Star Trek: Enterprise and started watching Carnivale, season one
  • had dinner at The International Club with Georgie, Gary, and Ben
  • watched Carnivale
  • watched Crash (the newer one)

This weekend I…

  • was invited to a dinner of (expensive) wine and food at the Sofitel (the food and wine was good, but geez, the price tag — luckly I was invited)
  • met up with Neil at The Londoner
  • got dragged to Park Latin
  • stayed till Clint (the DJ) dragged us to La Bomba (new club)
  • slept in most of the day
  • had dinner at the Japanese all you can eat
  • drank a pot of fruit tea at the Singapore restaurant
  • had a coffee at Javaromas
  • read a book while Neil watched Yellow Submarine
  • went for lunch at the floating restaurant
  • wandered around Fire Island, Huoshaoyu (火烧屿)
  • had dinner at The House
  • watched Human Traffic (wasn’t as good as wee Delboy hyped all those years ago, but a great effort for a first-time feature director)

This weekend I…

… can’t really remember what we did (in order) — Neil usually helps to remind me, but he’s asleep right now. There were two nights of drinks at The House, a dinner at a Shanghai restaurant, steak and onion pie at The Londoner, Indian curries, Frequency on DVD, and just generally doing nothing as well.

This weekend I…

  • had dinner at Little Chilli
  • had a few Bloody Marys at The House (Bloody Marys are my new drink)
  • had a few more drinks at The Londoner (and some barbecue)
  • boogied a little at Park Latin
  • slept all day
  • had Xinjiang food for dinner (mmm, garlic)
  • watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Johnny Depp is a genius)
  • watched Stealth (I have a sneaking suspicion it’s a satire — I really, really hope so)
  • had an early dinner at Tutto Bene
  • watched Danny the Dog (the one time Jet Li’s haltering English helps, but why does someone raised by Cockney gangsters in Glasgow have a Chinese accent?)

This weekend I…

  • had dinner and a party at the floating restaurant (Wayne’s birthday)
  • finished off with drinks at The Londoner
  • slept in all day Saturday (those drinks finished Saturday off, too)
  • had a great dinner at Glass House (their grilled potato slices are amazing)
  • had a couple of Bloody Mary’s at The House (Joel made a great Caesar on Friday and I was needing tomato juice)
  • had a cheese omelette for brunch (Neil still makes a yummy omelette)
  • pootled around at home
  • had dinner at Tutto Bene (too! salty!)
  • watched Neil have cake and coffee while I gulped water down at Javaromas
  • watched Ed Wood (what a great film)

This weekend I…

  • had takeaway barbecue at The Londoner (barbecue is my new favourite food)
  • watched I ♥ Huckabees (weird)
  • noticed that it was raining extremely hard
  • wrote
  • got rained on trying to get barbecue for dinner (failed, the nonstop rain kept everyone indoors)
  • had a not so good beef, Guiness, and raisin (eh) pie at Javaromas for dinner
  • noticed it was still raining
  • had a quick hamburger lunch at the Cavalry Cafe
  • started on a new sock doll (just some finishing touches needed before I release it on the world)
  • had chicken curry Kapitan (some sort of Malaysian curry) at the Singapore restaurant
  • had a Vegemite and cheese roll and hot chocolate at Javaromas

  • slouched around all day

  • ate duck porridge at 5am
  • slept in all day
  • had dinner at Little Chilli
