One Day

One DayOne Day follows the intersecting and diverging lives of Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew, who meet properly for the first time at their graduation in Edinburgh.

(It started out well with Rankeillor Street as the first location, a lovely street in University land).

There’s nothing I can say that won’t spoil the book if you haven’t read it yet, although I will say it’s kind of a love story but thank Deity it isn’t chick lit. I did shed a few tears at the end — I think I’m especially sensitive because Neil’s away. I did really enjoy the novel.

I’m a bit concerned at the marketing blurb for the film, which says that the characters reunite annually (bullcrap). Sounds like one to avoid, frankly.
