This weekend I…

  • did the weekly shop
  • shared a bottle of wine with Neil while watching teevee
  • woke up with a mild headache (I’m becoming a real lightweight)
  • went for a steak sandwich at The Newhouse (not as good as Ravellos, but they’re closed for renovations)
  • finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (I must admit a few tears were shed toward the end — although there was one bit that I really didn’t like — judging by my conversation this morning with a colleague, I’m not alone)
  • computered
  • was picked up by Carene, Kristy, and her pal Angela for drinks at Angela’s
  • moved on to the Station Hotel, and Neil and Brian showed up
  • moved on, once again, to the local nightclub (where I bounced up to the DJ and asked if he could play “anything good”, to which he said, “No, I can’t,” and indicated the tastes of the crowd with a sweep of his arm)
  • (everything else was a bit of a blur)
  • woke up feeling ill (was supposed to meet my cousin for brunch — needless to say, that didn’t happen)
  • computered (added tagging)
  • watched The Simpsons Movie (wahey!)

I have heard that The Simpsons Movie is like a long episode but every fan that has seen it has enjoyed some good laughs. From the previews in the commercials, I would guess Spider*** is better if you have watched some of the old Spiderman episodes that used that music. :D

If you drink 10oz/300ml of water for every alcoholic beverage, you should avoid the headache.

Terry, it’s not as though one thinks about how much water one should drink after one has already consumed a bottle of wine… and half a bottle never used to have an effect on me.

Nowt wrong with The Simpsons Movie being one long episode.

“anything good” - ho ho

“300ml for every acoholic beverage”!

A quick calculation (for me at least) means I would need to consume approx 4 litres for one average Londoner Friday or Saturday evening.

…I’d freaking drown! but without a headache…

It does have the affect of limiting how much you drink, and how drunk you get. There are people that might find it unacceptable. ;)

Would it work if I have say… whisky, with frozen water in it?

Just thinking outside the cage…

…and what’s so good about limiting how drunk you get? Might as well get married, it achieves the same result… right?

Boo, yes, indeed, I do get bolder when I’ve had a bottle of wine and 4 G&Ts in my gut.
