This weekend I…

  • had supper at Frankie & Benny’s (mussels cooked with pancetta bacon and chillies)
  • did the weekly shop at Asda (witnessed the crowds gathering in the ‘wizard’ waiting area from 11pm)
  • slept in
  • went to Brian and Carene’s for a few drinks (where I scored my loan of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)
  • fell asleep on Brian’s couch (as usual)
  • watched a little F1 before it got red-flagged (not that I particularly care)
  • bought a few things at Livingston (one must impose a moratarium on buying clothes, like I’ve just done with craft supplies)
  • read the first three chapters of Deathly Hallows

Hmm, I was not expecting to see a spoiler about the Nurburgring F1 here. I know, if I was really a fan, I would gotten up at 4 am and watched it live. :)

Harry has died. http://www.staugustine.com/stories/071401/obi_0714010050.shtml (hehehe)

Isn’t Asda is sort of the EU arm of Wal-Mart? I have been boycotting WM because they are dedicated to tearing down the developed world and building up China to take over, as long as it makes them rich.

OI!

Asda is Wal-mart, yes. It’s the closest, best-stocked supermarket to me.

Walmart is here in Xiamen (and Carrefour now)… but the staff still can’t show me where the personal deodorant is. They keep taking me to the industrial bog deodorisers… or are they trying to tell me something?

The F1 was good… the Aussie actually finished for a change!

p.s. does HP get his paws on Hermoine yet, or is he still chasing the asian tart, or is he just gay? (I’m only up to the 3rd movie)

I don’t think Xiamen sells much deodorant! Neil had a hard time finding any (I think he found a teensy-tiny bottle, non-aerosol, in Metro).

Harry and Hermione? No way! Harry’s in lust with Ron’s wee sister.

Mark Wubbah did a good job to be able to take over third after Kimi retired.

There are no deodorants for sale in China because they have not found a cheap toxic chemical to use to make counterfeit products with… yet. ;oP

I was just glad to see Webber finish… I thought the first few laps in the downpour were fun, especially when the safety car came out and in the backround you see one of the F1 cars spinning merrily past at a million miles an hour!

The Chinese use anti-freeze as additives for most things. It has a not horrible fragrance and normally a pretty color, so for deodorant it might work… stops the hairs turning to icicles too!

I learn much on this blogge…..anti-freeze indeed.
