The toughest first job I think

It will definitely be interesting to see if Alex Salmond’s minority government will be able to streamline and shrink the civil service. Considering the sheer proportion of public sector employment in Scotland, I wonder if the public sector unions will let him.

Assuming they are able to do this, what will they then do to create private sector employment for the former public sector employees? Throw money at them like the current Executive does for alcoholics?

(BTW, the news that the UK gives money to people who do not work because they are alcoholic simply beggars belief.)
