A vaccine for cervical cancer

… available for females aged nine to 26. I recall being told that it was important for women to get pap smears once they become sexually active to check for cervical cancer, so I’m thinking, nine year olds are sexually active? WTF?

  1. I would guess that they did a statistical analysis and picked that age to cover 98%-99% of the cases. Yeah, it is pretty young, but they want to get the girls vaccinated before they get molested.

  2. Ergh! That's pretty nasty that, statistically, enough get sexually abused to warrant getting the vaccine!
