We’re just back from the play, The Campaign to Confer the Public Service Star on JBJ. I don’t want to spoil it for the people who’ve got tickets, other than to say every cent paid is totally worth it. Pam Oei and Rodney Oliveiro (and Eleanor Wong) are brilliant. I can’t help but think, both cynical and paranoid that I am, that while there is a very public loosening up in one area, there will be a tightening someplace else.
It was lovely to hear that the real JBJ was in attendance tonight. I’m sure he enjoyed the performance. There is a public panel discussion on the issues raised by the play this weekend at the Drama Centre, which is located on the third floor of the National Library (via Pseudonymity).

Hey I was there too…but on National Day. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be. We were hoping the man would be there! Lucky you.
Did you get my e-mail?
