Germy pools
Swimming in pools resulting in high fevers and hospitalisation is another good reason for me to avoid our pool. We pay a management/maintenance fee every month, yet it costs us 80RMB per ten-visit ticket to use the pool should we choose to. They are so strict about allowing only residents into the pool that they’ll sell anyone a ticket.
I’m not so crash hot on using the pools in the hotels, either. They’ll sell anyone a ticket, too.

South Park had a pretty funny episode on Cartman waiting until the city pool was free of kids, and their pee, before he went swimming. They set off biggest ash snake in the world and the town is evacuated, leaving Cartman alone in a clean pool.
