This weekend I…

  • had fish (me) and chips (Neil) at The Londoner
  • watched The Door in the Floor and three episodes of Monk (season two)
  • finished reading The Complete Yes Minister and The System of the World
  • started on The Road to Serfdom
  • had seafood horfun and deep fried prawn paste chicken wings at the Singapore restaurant (I am officially addicted to those damn chicken wings)
  • had a lemon meringue tart and Irish coffee at Javaromas with Neil, Allison, Jeff, Via, Greg, Molly, and Nugget the chihuahua (chihuahuas are really strange looking dogs, and are they meant to shake that much)
  • had a few drinks and plenty of conversation at The Londoner
  • cycled 34km along Huandao Lu (stopped halfway to chat to the kitesurfer blokes)
  • had Thai for dinner
  • ate a popsicle
  • watched three episodes of Monk

I’m guessing that The Road to Serfdom is a book.

Why only one popsicle?

Watched the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy…the copy is not too bad. Good film, as per previous incarnations of the story it starts out the same and then deviates off on a tangent to a slighty different story line!

Good chuckle though, even with the american actors…Sam Rockwell is a pretty good Zaphod!

The Road to Serfdom is a politics book written by Hayek, an economist. It was written in 1944, and lots of people say it is still applicable today. Just started, so I’ll see how I go. Mark, a reader, sent it to me from my wishlist. That was very sweet of him.

TuTu, I’m watching Hitchhiker’s for Martin Freeman. Sam Rockwell and Alan Rickman are bonuses!
