Flow to your butt
19 April 2005
I weigh about 140Lbs (dressed) and only ride on pavement; the saddle’s packaging “fine print” indicates an upper weight limit of 200Lbs. If I had read this before purchasing I would not have bought it. Such a weight limit should sound alarm bells in any serious-thinking person’s head, and in my opinion is a tacit admission of product weakness.
Neil’s SaddleCo Flow broke after only two uses onroad. Me, I go with the plush seats.

200 lb eh? One good bump and … oh, ouch.

Darn. Those are so pretty, and look so cool (it's pretty hot where I ride), I was half-planning to buy one. But I weigh 155, and on a good bump am probably putting 250 on the saddle. Maybe they'll redesign it, add a couple of grams of reinforcement in important places, and offer it with higher limits. Here's hoping.
