I don’t need no iPod

Check out the latest offerings to try and rival iPod. The Olympus one is pretty good looking, but I really don’t need a camera on an MP3 player. I barely use my 128MB Hyundai MP3 player as it is.

well they came, they tried but none of them could beat the ipod. Just look at the kind of clunky user controls - can’t match ipod.
I think that the iPod is living on borrowed time. I expect to see 4 GB Flash memory players under $100 by Christmas 2005. I expect someone to clone a decent operating system for one by then.
There have been at least 4 “iPod killers” announced in the last month but none of them have gotten any traction yet. iTunes and the iPod is a synergistic relationship. It will be hard to beat until M$ gives up its INCREDIBLY HORRIBLE subscription service plan. You pay to download songs and then lose the ability to listen to them because you don’t want to pay M$ $5 a month for the rest of your life? Sorry, no.
I also expect to see a tightly integrated phone / MP3 / video-camera / pda / gameboy pretty soon.
As many people will have seen, there are links to short prerviews of multiple players onTerry

iPod wins a lot of hearts with style and design, because an MP3 player is nothing new at all :)
I agree with Albert. The only reason iPods are doing so well is its cool cachet. Apple does really well there.
