Standing for election in Hong Kong? Up against pro-Beijing parties?
Of course you’ll go to Dongguan, solicit a prostitute and be stupid enough to get arrested.
Not to say it’s not possible / plausible this Hong Kong politician came to the mainland on a business trip to get some hole (tangent: many men, Asian and Western, expect to spend time with prostitutes — all expenses paid — when they come to China on business), but the timing is a little convenient.
Using a combination of political intimidation and criminal litigation to prevent opponents from standing for election — where have I heard that one before?
