Ugh. This guy lost and deservedly so. He totally gave up in the second set. Wimp. Now Singapore's medal hopes rest solely on two non-Singaporeans. I find the media and government's lust for a single medal (any medal, mind you) to be a matter of such national pride. Is a medal supposed to signify that Singapore's sports programs are any good?

Andrea, when are you going to blog about how utterly lame the Singapore Idol judges are. They let through some of the most untalented people ever. I think they should have saved time and just gone through their normal Mediacorp Artiste selection methods ... with these judges conducting the tryouts, the results will be the same anyway.

Same in any country (including my home Australia). If you are any good and they want to bypass the citizenship rules they will find a link to your great great great great great aunt's sister's second cousin's nephew and claim that you are therefore eligible!
