Crazy superstitions
Sometimes, I believe that if I say something, the opposite will happen. I know I’m not alone in this. “It’s not going to rain,” and it pours, that sort of thing. I’m not completely superstitious, but I do catch myself thinking certain things and refusing to voice my thoughts because I don’t want to jinx myself. The rest of the time, I’m not concerned.
This weekend, I said to Neil how I thought my being from Singapore has trained my stomach reasonably well, as I’d not had any stomach upsets yet.
Come Monday morning, I’m beginning to think that my occasional superstition may have something to it. Also that God might exist and it’s punishing me for being so arrogant about my stomach.

I am sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon even though I am joking about it.
I know, Terry. (o: It’s not a big deal, just discomfort for a day or so, and I’ll be back on my feet, complaining how hungry I am.
