Sometimes it can be okay to ride the wave

In the absence of reading the news this morning and finding something to be outraged about (I’ll get there, just not yet), here’s a meme I read on Kristen’s weblog.

1. What time do you get up?
   I get woken up at 6.40am, but really only get up between 8 and 9am. I find it kind of difficult to find a reason to get up these days.
2. If you could eat lunch with one person, who would it be?
   George Bush. I want to know WTF goes on in that abyss called a brain.
3. Gold or silver?
   White gold. Silver tarnishes too easily.
4. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
   The Return of the King, back in January.
5. Favorite TV show(s)?
   If I watched television, The Office, I suppose.
6. What did you have for breakfast?
   I haven’t had breakfast (12.12pm). I have a tendency to forget to eat.
7. Who would you hate to be stuck in a room with?
   George Bush (see above). I might have to beat him up.
8. What is your middle name?
   I don’t have one.
9. Beach, City or Country?
   City during the week, Country on the weekend, the Beach only if I had to.
10. Favorite Ice cream?
    Cookies and cream. Or peanut. I especially recommend the ‘ice cream balls’ at Sunshine Palm.
11. Butter, plain or salted popcorn?
    Butter, then salted. Plain is tolerable.
12. What kind of car do you drive?
    I don’t even have a bicycle!
13. What characteristic do you despise?
    Avarice. You learn a lot about it in China.
14. Favorite flower?
    Gerberas.
15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
    The Galapagos Islands.
16. What color is your bathroom?
    White, with a fine layer of grey dust.
17. Favorite brand of clothing?
    Lip Service when I can afford it.
18. Where would you retire to?
    Australia, or somewhere in Europe. Vienna, maybe.
19. Favorite day of the week?
    Definitely Saturday.
20. What did you do for last birthday?
    I had dinner at a cheap Indian takeaway, which was good, but my aunt complained the entire time - she wanted to go to a posh Indian restaurant. I didn’t invite her.
21. Where were you born?
    Singapore.
22. Favorite sport to watch?
    I’ll watch most things, except golf.
23. What fabric detergent do you use?
    Tide.
24. Coke or Pepsi?
    Coke, definitely not Sprite Icy Mint!
25. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
    I’m a late morning person, I’m most productive from about 10am.
26. What is your shoe size?
    US 6½, UK 4, European 36 or 37.
27. Do you have any pets?
    Do bugs count? Last night a couple of light-chasing bugs landed on my spoon at the Chinese restaurant. I think they wanted me to take them home.
