watched Mona Lisa Smile (gotta get in a chick flick every now and again to feed the hormones, plus I love fashion from the 1950s)- watched Flawless (Robert De Niro is such an incredible actor, and I’ve always loved this movie for introducing me to the talent that is Philip Seymour Hoffman)
- watched Star Trek: The Motion Picture (again, I’d forgotten the plot)
- met up with some friends at Gulangyu for a wine and cheese party, held at ‘the villa’ (named just so as it is owned by a couple of American blokes who appear to have bought one of the most amazing houses on the island)
ate much wine, cheese, BBQ chicken, potatoes, tomatoes and popcorn (for about six hours, non-stop)- returned to Xiamen for a few drinks at The House
- ended up at KK (a story in itself)
- met up with some friends to go on a boat trip (I was hungover, of course, but the sea air and copious amounts of water got me back on my feet)
- went back to a friend’s apartment to watch The Pink Panther (but was made to watch some of Cher’s final tour first – has anyone noticed how much her voice has changed since her Sonny and Cher days? I’m not sure if it’s age or surgery that’s the reason)
